The Black comedy awards at Bloomsbury theatre was a fantastic showcase of Black comedians. Hosted by Rudi Lickwood, a mainstream top black comedian .Rudi has achieved admiration across the British entertainment industry for his extra charismatic personality and thoughtful humour that on the night, was evidenced by the continuous laughter of the audience. Theatrically Innovative Event Management Organization, have resurrected the prestigious much needed honorary ceremony. The performers on the night included the winner of black comedy awards Best Male comedian Slim, The very talented Gerry K Michael, Jaw breaker, winner of the best female award Felicity Ethnic and the sought out Winner of best young Female comedienne Kayleigh Loudmouth.
Awards were presented by dignitaries and celebrities, well known for their contribution in British main stream entertainment. Tameka Empson(East Enders and was a member of the comedy act 3 non Blondes), Chucky Venice( Eastenders, The brothers, Dream Team, and footballers wives), Jocelyn Esien. Other celebrities award presenters was Ken Barnes and Orin Lewis OBE

Nathan Caton Best Young Male Comedianne Felicity Ethnic Best Female Comedienne Slim Best Male Comedian Nathan Caton Best Black Comedian on mainstream Circuit Richard Blackwood (Shrek). Best Comedian in an acting role Gina Yashere Best International Comedian Comedy Roast Best Comedy night Funniest Comedy Moment was won by Slim. during a "private" moment. This is an award ceremony that should get the backing of the entertainment moguls, encouraging Black talents to come out and get noticed. The community should also engage in going to venues and gigs where the comedians are featuring.
