The charity am fundraising for: Kikambala Children's Home

I am raising funds for a charity in Kilifi (Coast of Kenya) called the Kikambala Children's home.

I desire to do a water project for them: gutters for the new dormitory under construction, water tanks and hand washing units for the orphaned children.

What is laughter?? I often find myself wondering why some people don't take time to laugh!! Laughter is a powerful antidote to stress, pain, and conflict. Nothing works faster or more dependably to bring your mind and body back into balance than a good laugh. Humor lightens your burdens, inspires hopes, connects you to others, and keeps you grounded, focused, and alert.
So how come some people don't laugh?? I belive that everything in life is a choice. We choose to see the world the way we see it. Perception is personal. One belief I have is that Life is great- no matter the challenges I face each day, Life is beautiful. I love laughing and yes, sometimes I laugh so loud. Laughter is great and I encourage you, my reader to laugh today!! So again I ask: Have you laughed today?? If not, get a reason to and laugh. Laughter is the best medicine for you.

Just a thought...

Life is precious and life is a gift. Last Sunday...I received some sad news that an old friend of mine had passed on. "What?? Janet?? How??" all these questions flooded my mind and as my Mum explained the tragic road accident that took my friend's life-I realized that truly life is a gift. Well, if life is a gift, what have I been doing with mine?? It is almost 2 am but am taking stock of my life so far. Have I used this special gift to impact people's lives?? Do I really make a difference in society?? Am I fulfilling my God given purpose on this planet?? Am I living my life to the fullest or merely existing?? These are the questions that run through my mind as I go to bed now, after such an amazing evening listening to His Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta at Intercontinental Hotel, London.
