KENYA TRIBAL ACTION FOR QUEEN`S DIAMOND JUBILEE PAGEANT
The tribal fusion at the windsor castle ground was a brilliant showcase of the beautiful diversity of the world. The Queen`s Diamond Jubilee pageant which was a four days event, ending today, was a magnificient and colourful choreographed performance. So many countries across the globe had sent representatives to entertain the queen with specific artsistic display, which lasted for 90 minutes. There was a domination of horse show acts from Australia, Asia, middle East and Europe but the Dramatic show that caught the eye was from Russia, due to the exciting stunts that the riders portrayed. Overall, about 500 horses and over 1000 performers took part.
The African slot was a mix of Zulu Dancers, Watoto Children Choir, Nine Tribes representation from Kenya and the singing sensation of the Nairobi Chambers Chorus. When they read the 9 tribes represented from Kenya, it was a great moment to realize that the Queen thinks highly of Kenya. This was also evidenced by the Kenyan flag Shields displayed at the arena wall, right behind the Royal family and other Royals highness from diffennt countries.
Previously at the Tea Party, Rose Kimanzi, the group leader was daring enough to take the role of the queen stylist as she presented the queen with bracelet made from Kenya and helped her to wear it! The queen has a special place in Kenya as she was pronounced queen after her fathers death, while visiting Kenya in February 1952. As we left the the Private grounds of the Windsor Castle, we met the excited Kenya performers, whose first visit to Britain has been to the castle. Amidst their shivering teeth grinds, you could see their joy as they burst yet again to a song, in the tent as we shared a cup of coffee. Yes, Its for Charity and the group has had an exciting experience that they will treasure for the rest of their life.
